always loved the place

me and my family have been meeting up at the inn for many years we always loved it the food and the veiws are breath taking imagine waking up in the morning and looking out at a clear lake (if you get the rooms on the water) if you bring a boat up they even let you park it at the inn for no charge the staff are very nice and they have live music some nights at the tiki bar the only draw backs i have seen are when there was awedding ouside cause they have this huge tent for the weddingsand it blocks the views from the lobby to the lake that was the case til this past year im not sure what happened but the tent for weddings now stays up all summer when the band was at the tiki bar they were competing with band at the wedding outside (they arenext to one another) the resterant this year was awful the food was over priced for what you got and the sevice was rude that have a buffet breakfast there but only one chef making omlets who was at the end of the buffet line who was backed up making them (its not the omlet chefs fault he was just backed up i mean who doesnt want a made to order omlet) but the head chef when told of this said "so" come on i went to dennys the next day and had a better service and didnt go back to the inn for breakfast nights were not much better the prices are too high for what you get in return my firsts nights meal was cold and the 2nd nights was wrong when told of this my waiter sighted and said they would take care of it it didnt get my meal back till 30 minutes later to which i said i ordered chinese (funny thing is idid that and they arrived just after my waiter left the table) to be honest i hope they fix there problems at the resterant because i plan to return next year btw a tip for july 4th do not leave the parking lot past 5 or you will never get a space when you return they close the road and everyone in town comes to see the fireworks (they do then close to the inn

You can do better!

I would not recomend the Inn on the Lake to anyone looking for a place for their wedding reception. I had my wedding reception there on 8/16/08. The 1st reason is that Lori Proper, which is one of the banquet managers, said she could set aside a certain type of beer for my father-in-law to put behind the bar at the reception. I noticed he was drinking another beer at about 6:30pm that night when I came in from my pictures. The reception started at 5pm. When I asked the bartender where it was she said she had no clue. If I knew that it wasn’t going to be there I would have just brought it myself. Lori ended up putting in the wrong reception room. The 2nd reason is because we reserved a lake side room and ended up with a room that had a view of the indoor pool. My wife and I were very disappointed when we got to our room that night. We thought we would be able to enjoy the room and outdoor seating. When I spoke with Lori she said that someone changed our reservation the night before. 3. The last reason is because my best friend’s parents, Peter & Linda, had to drive all the way back to Syracuse that night because the Inn messed up their reservation. They made a reservation well in advance but then the Inn changed its reservation system and had to manually change over 1,000 reservations. So in that process they changed Peter & Linda's reservation to the wrong night. It even got worse because the Inn charged them for a "No Show" when they didn't show up on the wrong night. The managing partner, Chris Burns, called me four days after I complained. His only offer was to give us one free night in a lakeside room. When I told him that wasn't good enough because that is what we were supposed to get in the first place he didn't offer anything else. In my conclusion you should look elsewhere for a wedding reception.

Rude Customers

The clients of this establishment are extremely rude. Don't expect friendly neighbors if you stay here!
